A group of sailors from all around the world came to learn and better their knowledge of the sport and plan for the future of the sport in their countries. It was great to part of this excellent training programme. For more info please visit www.sailing.org
We set off straight away and drove up into the Cairngorms for three nights. We took a nice 5.5 hr walk around and up Cairngorm mountain, visited the Highland Wildlife park (saw our first Polar Bears), and the obligatory Whisky tour which we did at Glenlivet. We also drove past some birdwatchers who showed us an Osprey nest with the chicks just starting to fledge the nest.
Next we drove to Lossiemouth and then onto Fort George to try and spot some dolphins, which we did! After driving along the Moray Firth into Inverness we then started making our way towards the Isle of Skye going Past Loch Ness.
We then spent 2.5 days on the Isle of Skye, where we saw the Old Man of Storr, Sea Eagles, wild Seals and Sea Otters, Buzzards and there was even a proposal (she said yes, Stoked).
The next few days were spent driving down to Glencoe, via the Glenfinnan Viaduct (Harry Potter train), some more walks which were great. Finishing our trip with a day in Edinburgh at the Castle. A great trip, too much to write about on here, if you're reading this and thinking of planning a trip and would like to know more, feel free to give me an email.
The perfect opportunity to test out a new piece of kit, the Sigma 150-600mm S, a great lens with a huge amount of zoom to not miss out on all the sailing action.

I don't go mountain biking too often, so going with three professional athletes was a bit of a wake up call on my fitness! Ashton Court in Bristol has some pretty good man-made bike trails, more info can be found here. You can also hire a bike from Pedal Progression if you need to.
I travelled light in terms of photo gear for this (although a camera body, 24-70mm and 70-200mm are not exactly light). No lighting set up this time around, I would like to set up some more photos soon.

Here is a selection of photos I took while watching some friends Windsurf and Kite Surf at Ryde on the Isle of Wight. With the Spinnaker Tower looking nice in the background.
